About

Kim Reid grew up in Atlanta, the backdrop of her memoir, No Place Safe. She took a long and winding career path getting here, but "writer" was the answer the first time someone asked what she wanted to be when she grew up. Since publishing No Place Safe, winner of the Colorado Book Award in Creative Nonfiction, Kim has discovered the fun of making things up and writes mysteries for teens under the name Kimberly Reid. She currently lives near Denver but her roots are firmly planted in Georgia clay and she still calls Atlanta home.
